APRÁS SCHOOL GAP YEAR: TRIPS, TRAVEL, FRENCH AND FUN
Ski le Gap is the only snow school to offer such a wide variety of training in teaching, freestyle, half-pipes and coaching
Qualifications
Canada is one of the World's major skiing and boarding countries and all qualifications gained at Ski Le Gap are fully endorsed by the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). This means the qualifications are recognised around the world.
Intensive Training
The aim of Ski Le Gap's Intensive course is to get experienced boarders qualified fast and pass their CASI Level 1 - that gives you the opportunity to start teaching straight away.
Ultimate Experience
With three months to train and improve Ski le Gap's Ultimate course gives boarders a huge range of options.
In the first place it means you can join us with little or no snowboarding experience whatsoever, learn to board and then learn to teach and qualify at CASI Level 1 or even above.
- CASI LEVEL I
Level I is an entry-level programme designed to introduce snowboard instructors to the basic teaching and riding skills used a the beginner, novice and intermediate levels of riding.
If you're a more experienced boarder first you'll get your CASI Level 1 qualification within a few weeks and then you can choose from these amazing options:
- CASI LEVEL II
This is the next level of teaching qualification and it gives you even better employment opportunities. Level II focuses on the intermediate level of riding skills; the goal is to experiment, exchange and learn about technical and instructive strategies in order to teach intermediate to advanced boarders.
- FREESTYLE (BASIC COACH) LEVEL I
The opportunity to experience and qualify to teach the competitive side of snowboarding: Ride in the snow park zone, develop skills for air awareness, strong switch riding, 180's and 360's rotations, and half-pipe riding.
- RIDING IMPROVEMENT OPTIONS
For those who want to work on their specific riding skills our Air Force or Ground Patrol courses will challenge and stretch you to the limit.
- MOUNTAIN FIRST RESPONSE
Train with the Ski Patrolers to become an assistant patroller. Offers basic firs aid for on the slopes as well as what to do in case of an accident and how to prevent accidents while teaching. .
