Like kicking it with your "hombres" on the slopes? Hitting rails, boxes or getting some air off the kickers? Maybe that's not your scene and you're into riding with some real style as you carve down the mountain as high up on your edges as you can. Maybe neither of these things is what you really desire, and what you really want to do is just chill out and take it easy. Whatever it is you are into Ski Le Gap will accommodate your style... and believe me, it really isn't, 'just for skiers!'

Becoming a snowboard instructor gives you the experience of sharing something that you have with others. Watching people learn and excel in something that you have taught them is very gratifying indeed. Another satisfaction is that there is no real age limit of student, so your class can be father and son... both being at the same level. "Ski Le Gap" trains you to become a snowboard instructor. This is a minor fragment of your 3 months in Canada with them. Yes, this is all true when you are a snow-pro on "Ski Le Gap", but lets remember, it's your Gap Year... what can you do for yourself for a change. You've spent endless years doing coursework and exams for other people, now it's time to do something for you.

"Ski Le Gap" really does offer you a wide diversity in the world of snowboarding. There are several fully qualified god-like snowboarding instructors who will teach you, or just guide you, if that's what you want. "Ski Le Gap" will train you to become a level 1 instructor, and give you the experience of teaching REAL people, but if you really want to excel in your riding capabilities then nothing is holding you back at all. There is the chance to go on to do your level 2, which enables you to teach students of a higher level of snowboarding... not just the rookies. Not into that so much? Then you can take your level 1 basic freestyle coach exam, training you to be a trainer. Of course in order to train you need to be able to do the tricks... but no fear the elite coaches taking you, will train you up so that you will be pulling 360's off kickers and hitting board-slides off rails as if you were tying your shoe laces!!!

None of that really tickles your fancy and you just want to chill out? Then have no fear because the coaches will also take you all around the mountain to the best snow, as you take it nice and easy and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. No stress no strain and no worries or instructing. of course if you want to learn a few tricks that you see the coach doing then they are always more than happy to show you their moves. Of course if you are greedy for more and want the most from life, then you can keep trucking after level 1 instructing and on to your level 2, carving down the mountain elegantly, also teaching students short radius turns and taking them down huge mogul runs as you gracefully ride down as if the moguls weren't even there. After that you can throw yourself off huge mounds of snow and jump onto big metal rails and boxes, leave the ground at 90° pulling a method and landing back into the pipe you left only seconds ago. You also get the chance to teach other's to do the same, as you become a freestyle coach.

After all that excitement of 3 exams and 3 qualifications under your belt, along with badges, stickers, certificates galore and your own nifty calling card, you can finally be at peace with yourself and relax a little using all your skills around the mountain without doing any exams. By this time you will have ridden with all the coaches and with all their teachings in you and the powers combined you shall be in snowboarding harmony... it really doesn't get much better!
